Ashley's 7th Birthday Party

Ashley has a few more days before she turns 7 but we had to have her party early. We did a "Craft Party" since that is what she is into these days. She always wants to "craft" something. They painted little boxes, opened gifts, decorated their own cupcakes, and than decorated their boxes.
Here are some pictures...

Last few weeks in photos

We went to Disneyland....and stayed for about an hr. Mommy has had a bad few weeks with a toothache and it decided to strike right when we got there.
In fact, a funny tooth story. The kids were playing in the backseat on the way there and all of the sudden Ethan is making a strange noise and trying to talk and we can't understand him. They had been "horsing around" and Ashley had knocked his tooth out of his mouth. This is the 4th tooth...first one was hit by a flying dice, next one was hit by Auntie (not hard, it was almost out), next one by a soccer ball, and now Ashley's fist. :)

The kids playing

Having a mini tea party.

Ethan and Pops pass the time with Lego's.

Our little ladybug in the Spring Musical.

We got an underwater camera for a rafting trip that Brandon is going on...had to practice with it. Can you guess which child is a natural in the water?

Come back tomorrow for AShley's Birthday Party Pictures!

Haircuts

Today both kids got haircuts.....
Ashley's hair is getting long and knotty and she doesn't like me to cut her hair. Ethan's was just getting ....well, too long. I like it long but he was due for a cut.
Here are before and afters.

Open House

Ethan's classroom.
The teachers made little name tags for each child and Ethan was described as
Eager, Tough, Happy, Athletic, Nice

The First Graders at the kids school decorate their classrooms with different habitats. Ashley's was the Rain forest and than for a week she goes and visits the Ocean, Africa, Dessert, and Antarctica.

Ketchup 2

Ethan's school joined the OC Marathon. From Feb-Apr he had to log in 25.2 miles and for their last mile they did a county wide race. Ethan ran his mile in 7:14.

Ethan with his best friend, Ethan. And Ethan with one of his biggest fans, Pops.

Ketchup.

My computer is back, up and running. Camera card working. Now I have no excuses.
It has been a busy month or so, I will try to catch you up with pictures.

Ethan turned 9...laser tag party....sooo fun. (for both adults and kids)

The kids grew facial hair....oh, and Ethan got some great birthday gifts.

Easter

The pictures are backwards....we started out our morning with a 6am Egg Hunt in the dark. We loved it but not so sure how the neighbors felt when the kids were running around screaming with delight as I yelled "Hot, Cold". Church at 8 for 4 services of Easter celebration and on to Grandma and Grandpa's house for an egg hunt. I thought the picture was funny because we were all helping the kids find eggs in the small living room. Hope you all had a great EASTER!

Busy Week

Being the week before Spring Break it was a busy but fun one. Ashley's class had Volunteer Appreciation Brunch where Ashley presented me with some beautiful yellow flowers.
And than we had Muffins with Moms and the Annual Spring Hat Day Parade...adorable.

Ethan had Famous American Week where he got to be Ceasar Chavez.
Here he is ready for his speech....we weren't sure how to dress him up. First we were thinking "farmer" but he said that Cesear Chavez as an adult wore button down shirts and had his hair slicked back so we sent him with a protesters sign. Here is his speech....(said to Ten Little Indians)

Ceaser Chavez, Migrant Worker
Helped set up a Labor Union
Led a boycott, grapes and lettuce
Fought for workers rights!

And last but not least we got our Disneyland passes back!
The kids got the Wii for Christmas instead of the passes but as of Jan 09 they (Disneyland) now has a payment plan option. Instead of the huge lump sum up front you pay for the day and pay the rest monthly for the next 11 months. Much more affordable...especially when Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Dave, and Auntie Elizabeth help pay for your day passes for your birthday gifts! Thanks again!
